Barb: Pumpkin..Diamond Shaped card

I fell in love with this stamp that I just ordered fromYour Next Stamp , a lovely pumpkin image. It can be used throughout the fall seasom. I just had to craft with it. While surfing the web I found the greatest site: sas project tuesday. On there was a diamond shaped card. It looked so inviting, I just had to try it. The directions were so easy to follow and I just couldn't stop until it was completed. The sentiment says: Thank You....For Being You The difficult part is in deciding who should receive it!!!
After following the directions, using cardstock, I cut the designer paper and glued it in place. The image was stamped three times, twice on DP. I then cut out the large pumpkin and on the second sheet, the small pumpkin. I used pop dots to raise it to add dimension. The stems were colored with Prisma Pencils.

Barb: Merry Christmas, soldiers

Cowgirl Sunday Challenge is hoping that everyone will join in to make Christmas cards for soldiers, to sign and send home to their loved ones, through Operation Write Home. They don't have cards in the field so it will be great to give them cards to send home! There will be a special prize for a challenger who post  a Cowgirl Up badge and adds it to their side bar along with an explanation for the Christmas cards! We will be hopping around and picking the winners..

There will be a 1st, 2nd and Top 6!! prizes!!!! Sponsors of this event will be Whimsy stamps,Whiff of Joy and Cowgirl Up.

An address will be posted on the Cowgirl Sunday Challenge for everyone to send their cards to. These cards will then be sent and distributed to soldiers for their use. the soldiers.

You can find all the information HERE
.

This is my post as a posse member of Cowgirl Sunday Challenge:

Recipe: DP is from JoAnn's crafts
           Image: Whimsy Digital Stamps
Trim: gold leafing pen by Krylon
Pocket inside the card has a tag that says "Merry Christmas"

You will notice that I haven't used any glitter on this card. This is because modern glitters are very reflective, which means if a soldier gets any on him/her they are visible with night vision glasses, and therefore a target. Difficult though it may be, please do not use any glitter on your cards!! They will then be passed on to OWH where they will be packaged to be sent to the overseas troops. We are hoping for your help to make our soldiers feel special and loved.

Thanks for visiting . Please feel free to follow my blog. I hope you will consider entering this challenge and sending your card along to a soldier. Please feel welcome to send as many cards as you would like.
