Barbara: The Crafty Pad Challenge

Our next Challenge at The Crafty Pad is Anything Goes. This challenge will run from December 19th until December 28th. This week all the DT members used the lovely Snow globe Image available HERE at the crafty pad stamp designs blogspot.  I chose to design an ornament using this adorable image.

This really was a simple project. After coloring the digital image, I sprinkled it with glitter to highlight the snow. I used a gold doily behind the image. I then scored the DP on the Score Pad and folded it like a fan. I used two strips of paper 1"x12", joined together after folding, then glued to a circle. I inserted a hanger with a needle in the green DP.

Barbara: The Creative Cowgirls

Thank you for joining The Creative Cowgirls for their second challenge. We were pleased that so many crafters joined us for our first challenge. This week we are sponsored by: tellens place
The challenge this week is Anything Goes!

I designed this card using one of the images from Tellens Place. Since the girl is listening to music, I thought the music notes with the imposed Happy Birthday was appropriate. Of course I had to add just a little "Bling." It is difficult to see in the picture but her blouse was paper pieced. However, the DP was too light so I colored over it. You can still see some of the print which makes it interesting. I am trying to learn to shade my images.  By looking at all the wonderful cards on line, I have learned so much :) The inside verse says, "You'll always be young at heart."

Recipe:
Image: Tellens Place, Music notes: free digital image
Sentiment: Jo Ann Fabric's vellum phrases
DP: Around the block
Bling: Recollections Embossed Stickers
         Gelly Roll Pen
Colored: Copic Markers
Punch: EZ
