If you came to visit and expected to see a card, a 3D paper craft or an altered item, you were surprised. This is my first beading project. I took a class, while on vacation, and learned all the basic techniques. I was pleased with my first project. What do you think?
My beads were purchased at the local bead shop.

Easter Candy

Welcome to a new week at My Grafico Crafts!  Our theme for our current challenge is Easter or Spring. Entries will be accepted until March 30th, midnight.  We have a wonder feature this week – Easter Candy and Cakes set by Cupcake Cutiees Designs. Our design team has come up with some great ideas using this set. Take a look HERE.

I will certainly be using this set many time in the next few weeks! Here is my DT post:

Inside:

The card front as well as the inside left of this card, are actually note cards that I have had for awhile. I used a Stampin Up stamp for the clear bag and the jelly beans. First, I stamped the acetate with Staz On brown ink, then fancy cut it. I also stamped this bag on white cardstock then randomly stamped jelly beans. The jelly beans and bow were colored with Copic Markers.  I fancy cut the bunnies and pasted them over the jelly beans. To attach this acetate bag, I punched tiny holes on each side of the bow and threaded the pink ribbon then tied in into a bow. The inside sentiment was computer generated.

Materials used:
Note Cards, Ribbons: Michael's
DP: From my used paper treasures!
Images: My Grafico, Stampin Up

This was such a fun card to make and so easy too! I was happy to be able to use materials that I already had. Look into your unused treasures and you will be surprised what you can use!! (I file my larger pieces of DP in a large accordion file folder). I found that using the Four Seasons as titles as well as one section that includes: graduation, wedding and babies works for me. I would love for you to share your organization tips too.
Thanks for visiting. I hope that I inspired you to create an Easter/Spring card. When you have completed your paper craft project, just click HERE to enter the current challenge at My Grafico Challenges.

Please feel free to leave a comment and/or follow this blog.  Have a wonderful week and enjoy the beautiful spring weather!

March Calendar

Top o’ the morning to you! (or afternoon or evening depending on what time you read this) It’s time for a new challenge at My Grafico   ! Our theme for this challenge is St. Patrick’s Day. Enter for a chance to win a St. Patrick’s Day stamp set by Stockberry Studio. Entries will be accepted until March 16th, midnight.
I hope that you are enjoying our bi-weekly challenges at My Grafico.  ST. Patrick's Day will soon be here. This week we had the following stamps to use in our challenge. This is also the stamp set that the winner of our cuttent challenge will win:-)

I crafted a March CD calendar page. This was such an exciting set to use. I chose the rainbow, the pot of gold and one of the darling leprechauns to use in my project.

If you look closely, you will see the the little leprechaun moves!! Clever, right??

Once I decided on the background DP, the rest of the calendar page was so easy to complete. I added Baker's twine and a polka dot ribbon as well as a little bling on the noted: St. Patrick's Day.
Calendar Recipe:
Background DP, polka dot ribbon and bling: Michael's
Baker's Twine
Distressing: Chalk Pad ink pad
Yellow Stickles: on the gold in the pot of gold

Thank you for visiting this blog. I hope that I have inspired you to create a CD calendar. I designed calendar pages for January, February, and March. I made 4 of each month and gave them to 3 of my crafting friends. I have attached the next six month so that you could see them and how different our crafting styles are. This has been such a rewarding venture for me. Just scroll down to see the calendar pages for the next six months.  Please feel free to leave a comment and/or follow this blog. I love reading your words of encouragement.  Have a wonderful week and please find some time to do something fun for just you:)
