My Fairy Name:Meadow Goblinwitch

Did you ever dream of being a fairy when you were young? I am sure most of us wanted to fly, to see and do everything and to be beautiful like all faries are!! Then we could just blink and disappear when it was time to do homework or chores.

My fairy name is: Meadow Goblinwitch

She brings riches and wealth. She lives in fields where wild flowers and poppies grow. She can only be seen in the enchanted moment between sleep and waking. She wears a skirt made of red petals and has gentle green wings like a butterfly. I am so happy that I found this site- a Fairy Name Translator. If you want to know your fairy name and characteristics, please click HERE

Barbara: Butterfly

I made the Top 3 at Gingerloft Challenges!!!!! I was asked to be a GD for their next challenge. This is the card that I submitted:

I had so much fun using the pearl paints that I purchased awhile ago but forgot about them. By mixing and shading, I think that the butterfly and the flower almost look real :) The card fold is called a frame fold. This is the first time I have used this technique. I wanted something simple to frame the image. Thanks to Splitcoast tutorials, you can find their tutorial HERE.

Barbara: WISHES

We want to thank all the wonderful crafters who entered challenge #111,add a ribbon, last week at The Crafty Pad. We had an amazing number of entries and of course so many beautiful paper crafts!! You can check out our winners HERE.
This week our challenge #112, is to add a button/buttons to your craft project.

I decided to make a step card in order to highlight the adorable image from The Crafty Pad. I chose a muted green card stock and a coordinating floral DP. Your might be able to see that I paper pieced the well and the roof covering the well. I also popped up the roof to add dimension. I cut out extra flowers, curled them then added brown pearl centers. The sentiment is computer generated. I colored white buttons with copic markers to make them the orange color then backed them with another flower. You might be able to see some of the dimension on this card in the second picture.

Barbara: Monochrome card

We would like to thank everyone who entered The Creative Cowgirl Challenge: Hawaii, the beach, or tropical. Unfortunately, our Mr. Linky was not working up to par. I want to thank those of you who entered in the comment section. We did look at your lovely craft projects.
This week, Mr. Linky is fixed!! Our theme is : Create a Monochromatic paper project/ card.

Some design team members were given this beautiful Lilly stamp, from Delicious Doodles, to use. I love flowers, especially lilies so I was excited to begin.

I decided to make this a simple card so I didn't detract from the image. I colored the flower with Copic markers and highlighted it with Prisma pencils. I sponged around the image with stamp pad ink.

Barbara: Seam Binding ribbon

We want to thank all who entered our 110th challenge at The Crafty Pad: Something Yummy for your tummy"!!! Again we had so many awesome entries. Please click   HERE  to see who was the lucky winner.

On to our next challenge: 111: A very simple one: "Use A Ribbon" on your project.  The DT was fortunate to receive ribbons from our sponsor this week: Crafty Ribbons to use on our cards. This seam binding ribbon is unique. You can use it as an ordinary ribbon or if you wet it, squish it together and let it dry...it has a totally different look. You can see this on my card this week.

Since my ribbon was green, it made me think of (and dream of) summer. I chose to use Debbie's new cat image with the sentiment: Lazy Days of Summer. I designed a simple tent card using a Spellbinder Nestability to cut out the center of the tent and a smaller one for the border. I cut out, glittered, and popped up one of the butterflies in the background to give it some dimension. I added the beads to carry out the green theme.
